I just wanted to give you an update:

We’re very close to releasing an update to the Unreal Engine 3 editor, that comes with the PC version of UT3, that will allow UT3 mod-makers to cook their mods into the required PS3 format. We’ve been doing some internal testing and we’re hoping to expand to a wider group tomorrow or Friday. If all goes well then we should see the update released next week which is what I expect will happen. Obviously the process works, as we put out a few mods before Christmas and people seem to be playing them, but it is the update to the editor that we’re testing.

Den beliebten UT2k4 Mutator MapMixer wird es wohl nicht für UT3 geben. Denn das neue UT3 unterstützt für den MapMixer wichtige Funktionen (Object Class function ClearConfig(), StaticClearConfig und Generic Support for Multi-column Listers) nicht.

Vom UTComp für UT3 gibt es schon ein Update. Für diesen Mutator braucht übrigens unbedingt den UT3 Patch v1.1!

Nur wenige Tage nach der Ankündigung gibt es schon die erste Version von UTComp für UT3.

Auch Lotus hat sich entschieden ein UTComp für UT3 zu veröffentlichen. Folgende Features sind bisher geplant:

A small config manager, that takes care of all the .INI copying if you want to maintain multiple configs for UT3 and be able to quickly switch between them.

Das UT/UT2004 Movie-Making Tool RypelCam gibt es nun auch für UT3.

Neben neuen Maps gibt es im offiziellen UT3 Forum auch schon einige neue Mutators und den letzte Woche schon erwähnten Mod Slaughterhouse.
