Es gibt nun PS3 Mod Tools für den UT3 Editor. Mit Hilfe von diesen soll es möglich sein, PC UT3 Mods auf die PS3 zu übertragen.

I just wanted to give you an update:
We’re very close to releasing an update to the Unreal Engine 3 editor, that comes with the PC version of UT3, that will allow UT3 mod-makers to cook their mods into the required PS3 format. We’ve been doing some internal testing and we’re hoping to expand to a wider group tomorrow or Friday. If all goes well then we should see the update released next week which is what I expect will happen. Obviously the process works, as we put out a few mods before Christmas and people seem to be playing them, but it is the update to the editor that we’re testing.
Ripper für UT3
Für alle diejenigen, die den Ripper aus dem ersten Teil von Unreal Tournament vermisst haben, hat das Fraghouse Mod Team nun ein verspätetes Weihnachtsgeschenk parat:
Ripper UT3 is a “port” of the original Ripper from Unreal Tournament – a popular weapon that fires sharp blades. The most common uses of this weapon are beheading enemies and spamming corridors with the bouncing blades.
The UT3 Ripper isn’t a carbon copy, however – the weapon model (provided by Mode, used in our Fraghouse Invasion mod for the Razorbomb weapon) is chunkier and more detailed than the original. The blade speed for the primary fire is faster to compensate for the game’s quick pace, and secondary fire is a payload bomb that, rather than continuing in a straight line, gradually arcs and loses height.

TO III in Development
Wie Mo666 in unserem Forum mitteilte, befindet sich momentan ein TO III in Arbeit:
Tactical Ops war einer der ersten Mods für UT99 und war ein riesen Erfolg.
Mit Tactical Ops: AoT ging die TO Ära langsam aber sicher nach langer Zeit zu Ende.
Mit TO: Crossfire unter der UT2004-Engine sollte TO noch einmal die TO-Fans anlocken, jedoch kam das Release etwas zu spät, UT3 war längst angekündigt, viele Player blieben dem Mod fern, obwohl dieser gelungen ist.
Nun ist UT3 released seit einiger Zeit und da steht natürlich ein Thema im Raum: TO III
TO III soll ein direkter Nachfolger vom erfolgreichen TO:AoT werden im brillianten Glanz der UT3-Engine.
Die Entwicklung ist im fortgeschrittenen Zustand, das Team weist aber Lücken auf, die gestopft werden müssen.
Es fehlt noch an einigen Ecken mit Unterstützung fähiger Leute die Teil eines wahrscheinlich erfolgreichen Mods werden wollen.
